We’ve been developing of the new C2 Hull for some time now making prototypes and testing. Here’s what we came up with.  I moved the wide point back and it has a wider tail then the early prototypes.  It’s glassed double 6oz flat weave top and bottom and the finbox is capped. Isothalic resin. Directionally sanded gloss to 600grit.

I’ll be shaping them under the Cooperfish label, not “logoless” as previously discussed.  This is a diversion from other Cooperfishes-  clear, sanded finish, and fin box but you’ll find that the quality is worthy.

I’ll have a batch and will introduce them at Sacred Craft Ventura in April 10-11 (along with the Blackboards).  We’re working on pricing and production right now so we won’t be offering boards for sale until SC.

Thanks to those that came out to the Surfing Heritage Gallery on Sunday for the End Of Auction gathering. for most it was the first time to the South Coast Plaza Location.

GC2041 will be headed to Oahu soon where the winner lives.  Once again 20% to the Heritage Foundation and thanks to them for hosting the calendar project.

This was a great event last weekend at Santa Monica Airport and we were happy to be part of it. We weren’t selling anything, just showing some auction boards, the new Blackboard, vintage SHF boards, and giving away  some calendars. A model working for another vendor even slipped in and posed with the boards, pin-up style.  Anybody that has photos of INSPIRATION send them to gene.cooper@gmail.com and we’ll post them here.

A sad day for the surfing community. Legendary Surfboard Builder/Historian/Storyteller and all around great guy Mike Marshall passed away on Saturday in Costa Mesa. We send our best to his wife Sharon, his family, and his circle of friends.
Mike loved to pass on stories of surfings hay day and his enthusiasm for both our sport and the craft was infectious. Thanks for sharing with us Mike.
